Singer Prashant Tamang Passes Away At The Age of 43

Jan 11, Kathmandu - Nepali-origin Indian singer Prashant Tamang has passed away. He died of a heart attack at his residence in Delhi on Sunday morning at the age of 43, informed filmmaker Rajesh Ghatani.

Prashant became famous after he became the winner of the Indian reality show ‘Indian Idol season 3’ in 2007. He had lent his voice to dozens of songs in Hindi and Nepali. He had also acted in Nepali films including ‘Gorkha Paltan’ and ‘Pardeshi’.

Born in Darjeeling, India, Prashant worked in the Kolkata Police before becoming the winner of Indian Idol.
