Investigation into Gruesome Murder Continues in Different Places

Jan 11, Kathmandu - Three people have been brutally murdered in Shuklagandaki, Tanahun. The bodies of two men and a woman were found in gruesome conditions near the waste treatment center in Kaserighat, Shuklagandaki Municipality-5.

A police team reached the area police office, Belchautara, around 9 am yesterday after an employee of the treatment center informed them that two men had been found dead. When the police team reached the spot and investigated, it was learned that one of the deceased men had been living in a tent outside the center.

The man had been living with a woman. They were collecting garbage from the market area. However, suspicion arose after the woman went missing and during the search, the woman was also found dead at around 12 noon. Her body was found in the forest of Kaserighat behind Janakalyan Secondary School, 700 meters away from the place where the bodies of the two men were found.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shrawan Kumar BK, spokesperson of the District Police Office, only one of the deceased has been identified. He said that the identity of the deceased has been revealed as 40-year-old Narayan BK of Shuklagandaki-11, Palpalichhap. He is an employee of Green Road Pvt. Ltd., which is responsible for operating the same waste treatment center.

"No one has come in contact with the deceased so far, the investigation is ongoing," said DSP BK. According to Ward Chairman of Shuklagandaki Municipality-5, Dirgha Bahadur Thapa, all three appear to have been brutally murdered.

"Narayan BK has serious injuries to his stomach and has also been hit in the head," he said. "The intestines of the unidentified man were also seen protruding from his stomach. The woman's throat appears to have been slit."
