Jan 11, Kathmandu - Nepal Telecom has introduced an attractive starter pack called ‘YUVA SIM,’ specifically designed for the Gen-Z youth. The new SIM aims to connect young Nepalese citizens born after 1997, offering exclusive and affordable digital services.
Starting from Saturday, the YUVA SIM is available at a price of NPR 299, inclusive of taxes. The package includes unlimited on-net (NTC-to-NTC) calls, 5GB data, access to digital wallet eSewa and Khalti without data charges, and free access to the online learning platform ‘Mero School.’ All these services are valid for 28 days.
Additionally, customers will benefit from discounted off-net (NTC to other networks) calls, costing just NPR 1 per minute. Even after the 5GB data is exhausted within the validity period, users can continue to enjoy data at a low rate of NPR 0.50 per MB through Pay-As-You-Go data services.
NTC's Chief Consumer Business Officer, Upaang Dutta, expressed enthusiasm about the launch: “We are delighted to introduce the ‘YUVA SIM,’ specially crafted for the youth. This pack will keep young users connected, opening doors to various opportunities and a digital future. We believe it will make their digital lifestyle easier and support their educational needs.”
The company also offers 1GB of data valid for 24 hours at just NPR 19, which can be used for Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
To get the YUVA SIM, customers need to visit the nearest NTC center with their citizenship certificate, driving license, or student ID. If these documents are unavailable, a government-issued identity card or parental consent along with a student ID can be used to obtain the SIM.
