NC Holds Special Convention, Approves New Procedures for Future Meetings

Jan 12, Kathmandu - The Nepali Congress has successfully passed its new procedural guidelines during a special convention, empowering its highest decision-making body to operate under the revised rules. The convention approved the Procedural Bylaw 2082 through a voice vote in a closed session.

The session was chaired by 88-year-old senior delegate Shyam Bahadur Khadka from Kathmandu-5, who was entrusted with presiding over the closed-door proceedings. The decision to appoint Khadka as the chairman of the closed session was announced by Subash Pokhrel, coordinator of the publicity committee.

With the adoption of the new procedures, the party plans to move forward with upcoming closed sessions and other scheduled activities under the updated guidelines.
