Jan 12, Kathmandu - The Nepal-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NICCI) successfully concluded its 12th Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu. The meeting reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral trade, investment, tourism and business cooperation between Nepal and Italy.
Patron Rajesh Kaji Shrestha was the chief guest at the meeting. NICCI President Sanjay Agrawal, along with the leadership team and members, highlighted the importance of Italy's continued support for Nepal's development work and cultural heritage conservation. The Annual General Meeting re-elected Sanjay Agrawal as the President for the next three years. This reflects the continued trust of the members in his leadership and vision for the Chamber. Addressing the meeting, President Agrawal outlined NICCI's strategic priorities for the coming years, stating that the aim is to deepen business-to-business cooperation between Nepali and Italian entrepreneurs, actively facilitate investment and policy dialogue, expand tourism and cultural cooperation, and further strengthen NICCI's role as a credible and action-oriented chamber that delivers tangible value to its members.
During the program, Vinod Sagtani was awarded the ‘Member of the Year 2025’ award, while Kalyan Silwal was presented with the ‘NICCI CSR Community 2025 Award’. The program was successfully completed with the aim of expanding trade and business cooperation, investment facilitation, and cooperation in the tourism sector between Nepal and Italy.
