Jan 13, Kathmandu - 2,491 election police officers will be recruited in Banke for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
The process of recruiting 2,491 election police officers to be deployed in three constituencies in Banke has been initiated, informed District Police Spokesperson DSP Deepak Patali.
The Election Police Recruitment, Selection and Appointment Committee, Banke, is publishing a unified notice for Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal and inviting applications from eligible Nepali citizens. It is stated that Nepali citizens who have completed 18 years of age and have not exceeded 54 years of age can apply for the post of Election Police by the 1st of Magh.
It is stated that those wishing to join the district can apply at the District Police, Banke, Area Police, Kohalpur, Area Police, Bhagwanpur, Armed Police No. 30 Battalion Headquarters, Bageshwori, Bhawaniapur, and Armed Police No. 42 Reserve Battalion Headquarters, Shamshergunj.
Similarly, the working period of the election police will be 40 days from the date of appointment or as prescribed by the Government of Nepal. The committee has stated that a salary of 34,776 rupees will be provided for 40 days at the rate of 869 rupees and 40 paisa per day under the service facility. The notice also states that food expenses will be provided as per the rates received by the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force in the concerned district.
This time, there are 351,439 voters in Banke. The District Election Office has also stated that there are 139 polling stations and 400 polling centers.
