Jan 15, Kathmandu - National Yoga Day is being celebrated today. National Yoga Day has been celebrated on Magh 1 every year since 2072 with the aim of making everyone aware of the importance of yoga.
According to yoga gurus, the mind must be healthy for the body to be healthy, yoga is needed for both the mind and body to be healthy. In ancient times, yoga was considered as a means of connecting with the invisible forces. However, with the passage of time, yoga has started to be considered as a science.
Yoga experts say that yoga helps to relieve stress and prevent chronic diseases like rheumatism, asthma, high blood pressure and obesity. Yoga camps and yoga classes are being conducted in various places nowadays because practising yoga regularly improves the circulation of energy in the body and also increases refreshment.
