Jan 15, Kathmandu - Nepal Communist Party (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed his best wishes for happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepali brothers and sisters at home and abroad on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti.

Today, while issuing a message of greetings, he said, 'Today is Maghe Sankranti, in cultural diversity we sometimes celebrate it as Maghi festival, sometimes Makar Sankranti and sometimes Maghya festival, mineral food is eaten in this festival, Happy Maghe Sankranti to all.'

Chairman Oli has mentioned in the message that on this day, there is a tradition of bathing in various holy rivers and triveni in the country, including Barahkshetra, Devghat, Ridhikshetra and worshipping in temples.
