Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Chief Raju Pandey Resigns

Jan 16, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Mahaganar Police Force Chief Rajunath Pandey has resigned from his post. He resigned amid speculation that he will be a candidate in the upcoming elections.

There is speculation that he will be a candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No. 4 on behalf of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the upcoming elections. Kathmandu 4 is the constituency won by Gagan Thapa, the elected president of the Nepali Congress at its special general convention. Pandey resigned from his post with effect from Magh 4.
