Gagan Draws Congress's Attention After Deuba Congress Claims Legitimacy

Jan 16, Kathmandu - The party of Gagan Thapa, the president elected from the special general convention, has objected after the office bearers of the Nepali Congress, including acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka, of the Deuba faction, went to the Election Commission today and claimed that they were official.

The spokesperson of the newly elected working committee, Devraj Chalise, issued a statement today and said that attention has been drawn to the matter. He said that it has been reported in some media outlets that some general convention representatives have withdrawn their signatures and that additional information has been made public to clarify this.
