Jan 18, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has resigned from his post.

Mayor Shah resigned from his post this afternoon. Mayor Shah has resigned with effect from today. Mayor Shah has submitted his resignation to Deputy Mayor Sunila Dangol.

He is preparing to run for the House of Representatives election on Falgun 21.

He is also scheduled to visit the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) central office today. The RSP has made him a senior leader.

He is also the Prime Ministerial candidate from the RSP.
