Jan 20, Kathmandu - CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has registered his candidacy for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21 from Jhapa-5.

Chairman Oli reached the office of the Returning Officer, Jhapa-5 on Tuesday afternoon and formally registered his nomination. He was elected from Jhapa-5 in the previous election to the House of Representatives. Oli has been a candidate from this constituency many times.

After the nomination, Oli has commented that this election is a competition between building and destroying the country. He said that he still doubts that the election will be held in a fearless environment and stated that the UML will not run away from the election, adding that the election is being held even though the peace and security situation is not satisfactory.
