Hearing Underway on Writ Petition against Decision to Drop Charges against Rabi

Jan 22, Kathmandu - A writ petition filed in the Supreme Court against the Attorney General's Office's decision to drop the charges of 'money laundering' and 'organized crime' against National Independent Party President and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has been scheduled for hearing.

The petition has been scheduled for hearing in a joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Manoj Kumar Sharma and Bal Krishna Dhakal.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman had sought a written response from the Attorney General's Office last Tuesday. The Supreme Court is going to schedule the petition and hear it after receiving the written response.
