Jan 23, Kathmandu - Former Minister Mahabir Pun, who has filed his candidacy for the House of Representatives election in Myagdi, has received the triangle election symbol.

He reached the office of the Chief Electoral Officer on Friday and chose the election symbol.

He was given the election symbol immediately after.

The commission has listed some symbols as such that they cannot be used. The symbols provided by the Election Commission as usable can be chosen.

3,387 people have filed their candidacies for the House of Representatives election to be held on Falgun 21. Out of these, one-third are independent candidates, while the rest are party candidates.

According to the Election Commission, the number of independent candidates is 1,188. This is 34.069 percent of the total candidates. The remaining 2,299 are party candidates.

The candidates were selected on 6th Magh. The schedule for distributing election symbols is today. Party candidates have the party's election symbol.
