Free Health Camp in Salyan Kapurkot

Jan 24, Kathmandu - Seven hundred and thirty-six people have benefited from the free health camp conducted in Kapurkot Rural Municipality.

The camp was organized by Kapurkot Rural Municipality and with the technical support of Rapti Eye Hospital, Tulsipur and BRINOS Ear Health Community Service, Nepalgunj.

Specialist health services were provided to service recipients with eye, nose, ear and throat problems in the camp. Dinesh Poudel, Chief Administrative Officer of Kapurkot Rural Municipality, informed that 535 eye-related people and 201 people with ear, nose and throat problems received services through the camp.

According to him, 491 female and other male service recipients participated in the camp. During the two-day camp, 51 people with eye, nose, ear and throat problems underwent surgery.

Kapurkot Rural Municipality Chairperson Durga Bahadur Pun said that the camp was organized with the objective of reducing the need for residents of remote settlements of the municipality to travel to Tulsipur or Nepalgunj in Dang for eye, nose, ear and throat treatment. He said that the service recipients felt great relief by providing specialist health services close to their homes.
