Jan 25, Kathmandu - The Nepali Congress meeting scheduled to be held in Janakpurdham has been cancelled. It is said that the program was cancelled after the Election Commission did not grant permission for the meeting when the code of conduct was already in force.

The Congress was preparing to hold a huge meeting in Janakpurdham on Magh 16. The Congress was preparing to start the election campaign nationally by giving a special address by Chairman Thapa at the meeting.

The program has been postponed as the commission's instructions and the code of conduct must be fully followed, informed Nitesh Kumar Gupta, head of the Congress Madhesh Province Publicity Department. He said that the schedule of the upcoming programs will be made public later.
