Five Killed in Telangana Fire

Jan 25, Kathmandu - Five people have died in a fire in the southern Indian state of Telangana. The incident took place in the Nampally area of ​​Hyderabad on Saturday morning, where some people were trapped inside a shop that caught fire.

Local police have confirmed to the media that all the bodies of the deceased have been recovered. Two of the deceased are children. A preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Telangana Fire Service Director General Bikram Singh Mann said the incident was the result of negligent and irresponsible behaviour and said that criminal action will be taken against the shop owner.

Firefighters, local police and rescue workers worked together to control the fire. The damage at the scene was extensive due to the size of the fire.

Following the fire, the local administration has decided to inspect the affected area and tighten security measures. The incident has spread fear and anxiety among the community as it is close to commercial and residential areas in Telangana.
