Jan 25, Kathmandu - A Turkish Airlines plane that was about to take off from Tribhuvan International Airport for Istanbul has been diverted from the runway.

Flight number TK727 had already reached the runway for departure at 12:35 pm as scheduled. Airport sources have stated that the flight was immediately stopped due to safety reasons after receiving indications of a technical problem in the plane while it was taxiing on the runway.

The plane has been returned to the parking area and technical checks have been started. The airport has stated that the plane will be prepared to take off after the necessary checks are completed. The source has also clarified that all passengers and crew are safe.
