Congress Chair Gagan Thapa in Sarlahi, cadres give grand welcome

Jan 26, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress Chairman Gagan Kumar Thapa, who has filed his candidacy from Sarlahi constituency number-4 for the upcoming House of Representatives election, has arrived in the district. Thapa arrived in Sarlahi from Kathmandu via Simara Airport on Monday (Magh 12) afternoon.

Thapa, who has been nominated by the party as the Prime Ministerial candidate, was given a grand welcome by a large number of leaders and workers present at Bagmati Karmaiya on the Sarlahi-Rautahat border along the East-West Highway. After the welcome program, Thapa left for Sarlahi-4.

He will now spend a few days in the constituency and will meet and discuss directly with party leaders and workers and voters, informed Congress Sarlahi President Dr. Saroj Kumar.

In Sarlahi-4, there is a competition between Congress President Thapa and candidates, including Amresh Kumar Singh, who has been elected three times from the same constituency and is currently the leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
