Jan 27, Kathmandu - In today's meeting of the Federal Parliament, National Assembly, MP Sumitra BC has demanded that the House be informed about the progress of the commission formed to investigate the human and material damage caused during the Gen-Z protests on Bhadra 23 and 24.
National Assembly member Gangakumari Welbase mentioned that the number of deaths and injuries of citizens due to wild animal attacks in national parks and surrounding areas is increasing every year.
Another MP Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami said that the elephant menace is increasing in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur and other districts.
MP Tulsa Kumari Dahal mentioned that the outbreak of infectious diseases like measles and rubella is increasing in Sarlahi district and said that attention should be paid to the necessary health services and preparedness to control them.
MP Maya Prasad Sharma complained that the victims of the Jajarkot earthquake have not yet received adequate relief. He said that the lives of the earthquake victims have been difficult due to the lack of completion of reconstruction.
MP Sharada Devi Bhatta said that those who drive under the influence of alcohol and violate traffic rules should be severely punished.
