Jan 29, Kathmandu - Preparations are underway to discharge Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, today (Magh 15). The hospital has stated that preparations are underway to discharge him as his health condition has returned to normal.
Hospital spokesperson and deputy director Dr. Gopal Prasad Sedhai informed that preparations are underway to discharge him by the evening.
According to him, Lamichhane had ‘cellulitis’.
While participating in the party’s election rally organized in Janakpur on Magh 5, he had injured his leg. During that time, he had a wound on his left leg that did not heal and became infected with the skin, and he was admitted to the hospital.
After he did not recover despite taking antibiotics, Lamichhane was admitted to the hospital’s orthopedic department. He was administered intravenous medication.
