Jan 29, Kathmandu - Thailand Queens secured third place in the women's category of the Tiger Cup National and International Invited Club Volleyball Championship.

In the match held at the multipurpose covered hall at Pokhara Stadium for third place, Thailand defeated the departmental team, APF Club, in a five-set thriller with a 3-2 victory.

Thailand lost the first set 23-25 but bounced back to win the next two sets convincingly, 25-11 and 25-9. After losing the fourth set 23-25, the match was pushed to a decisive fifth set, which Thailand won 15-11.

With this third-place finish, Thailand Queens took home NPR 206,666 in prize money. The women's final will be contested between New Diamond Sports Club and Nepal Police Club, scheduled for Friday.
