Jan 29, Kathmandu - Sudan Gurung, who has become a candidate for the House of Representatives from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has asked for security personnel, citing security threats.
He has become a candidate from Gorkha 1 in the House of Representatives election to be held on Falgun 21.
Informing that Gurung is on a door-to-door campaign for the election, the RSP district committee wrote a letter to the District Administration Office, Gorkha on Thursday, requesting it to provide necessary security arrangements, including PSO.
"According to various confidential information, there has been an increased security threat to Sudan Gurung personally from a group of people with weapons, so I request you to provide necessary security arrangements, including PSO," the letter signed by RSP district committee secretary Milan Rana said.
