Shahi, injured in Gen-Z movement, welcomed to his home district

Jan 30, Kathmandu - Pawan Shahi, who was seriously injured in the Gen-Z movement, has been given a grand welcome in his home district of Kalikot.

Pawan, 25, of Khadachakra-1, who was injured in the Gen-Z movement on Bhadra 23, has returned home after 5 months of treatment in Kathmandu. The locals of Manma Bazar welcomed him with instruments, flower garlands, and food.

Shahi, who was shot in the stomach and arm during the movement, is a football player. His father, Ain Bahadur Shahi, said that he reached Kalikot on Friday after receiving treatment at the Trauma Center in Kathmandu. He is also a former national volleyball player.

When Shahi reached Manma in Kalikot via Surkhet on Friday, he was welcomed by the leaders and cadres of political parties in the district, Manma, Tadi

and other relatives, his elder father Surya Bahadur Shahi said.

Shahi, who was injured in the Gen-Z movement, has been placed on the list of proportional representatives by the National Independent Party. He said he returned to the district to meet with the people of Kalikot and seek votes.
