INLA to Honor Seven Creators Including Poet Dinesh Adhikari in the United States

Jan 31, Kathmandu - The International Nepali Songwriters Association (INLA) has announced that it will honor seven Nepali creators, including poet and songwriter Dinesh Adhikari, in the United States.

The recognition will take place at INLA's second national conference scheduled for March 29 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, according to the association's founding chairman, Dr. Hari Upreti.

The event aims to focus on the preservation and promotion of Nepali music, literature, and arts. Dr. Upreti expressed confidence that the conference will serve as a platform to unite Nepali creators dispersed around the world.

Among those to be honored, Adhikari will receive the Gyanendra Gadal Song Award. This is an international accolade awarded annually to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of song and music.

From Nepal, Pul Lamsal will be recognized with the Songwriter Award, Tritu Khadka with the Music Award, and Yashoda Parajuli with the Singing Award.

Under the diaspora category, Subu Gadal Karki will be honored with the Diaspora Songwriter Award, Dambar Khapung Subba with the Diaspora Singing Award, and Agam Gurung with the Diaspora Folk Music Award, the association stated.
