Feb 01, Kathmandu - The meeting of the House of Representatives to be formed after the election scheduled for Falgun 21 will not be held at the Birendra International Conference Center in New Baneshwor. The conference center, which has been used as the parliament building since the Constituent Assembly election in 2064, will no longer be the Federal Parliament.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the new parliament building will be used for the new parliament after the House of Representatives election. The new parliament building has been built in the Singha Durbar complex. The new building has not yet been used as it is not fully ready, but the Federal Parliament Secretariat has stated that this building will be ready by the end of the election.
Earlier, after the conference center that was the then Federal Parliament building was burned down during the Gen Z movement, the National Assembly has also been meeting at Singha Durbar. The Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee hall in the Singha Durbar complex has been arranged to hold the National Assembly meeting.
