Feb 02, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Sushila Karki, addressing the National Assembly meeting for the first time today, expressed confidence that the House of Representatives election will be held in a clean, fair and fearless environment at the scheduled time.
Addressing the fifth meeting under the 19th session of the assembly that began on Magh 4, Prime Minister Karki informed the members about the preparations for the House of Representatives election, which is the government's priority, and the work being done in the field of good governance. She also clarified that she is the Prime Minister in a difficult situation and not with any aspirations of governance, and that she is eager to hand over the responsibility to the new government formed through the House of Representatives election in the stipulated time.
Prime Minister Karki, the Prime Minister of the interim government formed in the midst of the Genji movement on Bhadra 23 and 24, also congratulated the members who won the recent National Assembly election. Prime Minister Karki also answered the questions raised by the members during the discussion on the 'Study Report on the National Ethics Policy, 2082' presented by Kamala Pant, the Chairperson of the 'Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance' Committee.
