Feb 02, Kathmandu - Police have arrested two people on charges of cheating by promising to send them to foreign employment at attractive salaries.
Police have informed that they were arrested based on the complaint filed by the victims who said that they were being lied to and lost contact for a long time after being told that they would be sent to various countries for foreign employment. Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Karki, Information Officer of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, informed that they were arrested from various places in Kathmandu.
According to Karki, the arrested are Anjan Bhujel, 24, a resident of Dhading and resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31, and Nabin Damai, 31, a resident of Salyan and resident of Kathmandu-26. Police have said that Bhujel took 1.71 million from five victims by promising to send them to New Zealand and Damai took 2.6 million from two victims by promising to send them to Greece.
Police have informed that they have been sent to the Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, for further investigation and necessary action.
