Vote for peace this year: Prime Minister

Feb 03, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged that this year's vote be for peace. Prime Minister Karki said this in an interaction organized after the convocation ceremony of the National Service Dal Senior Division Training organized in East Nawalparasi.

'This election is not a regular election. This is a special election. You should vote for peace. This hurdle will have to be crossed at any cost. The victory or defeat of an individual is a secondary issue,' the Prime Minister said, 'First, let's win the country. It is time for us all to stand together and resolve for the peace and transformation of the country.'

After the formal convocation ceremony, Prime Minister Karki interacted with the students, parents, teachers, public representatives, and media persons present.

She also inquired about the election preparations and security situation from the Chief Election Officer and District Judge Kamal Parajuli, Chief District Officer Bhaviswar Pandey, and local security officials. During that, she also instructed them to work without leaving any stone unturned to ensure that the election is held peacefully.
