Ballot Papers for 60 Constituencies been Printed

Feb 05, Kathmandu - The Election Commission has announced that the printing of ballot papers for 60 constituencies has been completed. The commission issued a notice stating that the printing of ballot papers for 60 constituencies has been completed by Thursday morning.

According to the commission, the printing and packing of a total of 25 districts including Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum (western part), Salyan, Surkhet, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Panchthar, Ilam, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, and Sunsari has been completed.

The commission has announced that 1 million 98 thousand 200 sample ballot papers have been printed and sent to various districts for the election of members of the House of Representatives, 2082, at Janak Shiksha Samagi Kendra, Sanothimi under the first past the post and proportional representation systems.

The commission has stated that 28.3 million proportional ballot papers have been printed, packed and verified and are being prepared for transportation.

Similarly, 23.2 million ballot papers are required to be printed for the first-past-the-post election system, and 7.2 million 60 thousand ballot papers have been printed from various areas and 5,825 boxes have been packed by 8 am today.
