Feb 07, Kathmandu - Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has issued a bold call to the public, stating that citizens must "punish" political leaders who fail to deliver on their commitments within their promised deadlines.
Speaking at a program held at the Pokhara Bus contact office in Chitwan, Lamichhane criticized the culture of political impunity, arguing that leaders should not be allowed to walk away with a smile after breaking their word.
Lamichhane drew a sharp contrast between the accountability faced by ordinary citizens and the freedom enjoyed by politicians.
"In other sectors, people are punished for not fulfilling their words or missing deadlines. Why should leaders be allowed to just walk around laughing after failing to deliver? This cannot continue," he asserted.
