Two More Industries in Operation in Hetauda Industrial Area

Feb 08, Kathmandu - The number of industries being added to the Hetauda Industrial Area of ​​Makawanpur has been increasing recently. In this context, two more industries have recently come into operation in the industrial area.

Ramesh Raj Nepal, Information Officer of the Industrial Area Management Office, informed that Precious Oist Refinery Pvt. Ltd. has started trial production from a new industry that processes old electronic goods and produces new metals since the first week of this Magh. He said that this type of industry is probably the first to come into operation in Nepal.

Similarly, Radhakrishna Synthetic Pvt. Ltd. has started producing plastic bags completely since last Kartik. According to Information Officer Nepal, among the industries that have been closed for a long time, Nepal Brewery is preparing to operate within a few days with new management, while Tripura Industries is going to operate a tobacco industry as a new industry.

Among the industries operating within the industrial area, Roto Printing Industry (printing on plastic) and Nobel Packaging have stopped production for the last few months due to lack of investment, Information Officer Nepal said. Currently, 13 different types of industries are under construction in the industrial zone. He said that most of the industries under construction are in the final stages of construction.

Established on 20 Mangsir 2020 BS with financial assistance from the US government, 147 industries and establishments are currently operating businesses on leased land within the industrial zone.

Spread over a total area of ​​3,228 ropanis, the food industry, United Brewery (beverages), Gorkha Brewery Company, Asian Paints, Animal Feed Industry, and Cartoon Industry are currently operating as major industries within the industrial zone.

Similarly, government-owned companies including the Hetauda Milk Distribution Project, Provincial Food and Quality Control Office, Provincial Seed Company, Provincial Soil Testing Office, Area Police Office, and Nepal Bank Limited Hetauda Branch are operating within the industrial zone, according to Information Officer Nepal.

Of the total land area, 2,178 ropanis are currently leased, 26.52 ropanis are vacant land, and 597 ropanis are occupied by utility services, including road network, electrification, and sewage disposal. There are 10 industrial buildings constructed from offices, 11 warehouses, and 34 other buildings within the industrial area.
