Feb 09, Kathmandu - In a major move toward digital convenience, Nepal Telecom (NTC) has officially launched an online portal allowing GSM prepaid subscribers to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) details from the comfort of their homes.
Following a successful pilot phase initiated at the Sundhara Telecom Office on Paush 22), the utility provider announced that the service is now being rolled out nationwide. The full-scale launch coincides with the company’s 22nd Anniversary celebration this week.
Streamlining the Digital Identity Process
According to a press statement released by NTC Spokesperson Rabindra Manandhar, the initiative aims to bridge the gap for thousands of users whose personal records remain outdated.
"This facility will not only simplify the process for our subscribers but will also assist in maintaining accurate data for integration with other government services," the statement noted.
How to Update Your Details
Subscribers looking to correct their names or update personal information can now follow these steps:
• Access the Portal: Visit the official link at https://kyc.ntc.net.np/.
• OTP Verification: Users must log in using a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their registered mobile number.
• Data Entry: Along with personal identity details, users are required to provide five frequently called mobile numbers for security verification.
• Final Validation: Once the online form is submitted, customers must visit their nearest Nepal Telecom office or Customer Service Center for a final physical verification to complete the update in the system.
