Feb 09, Kathmandu - CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that Balen Shah has come to Jhapa after the people of Kathmandu did not trust him.

At a voter meeting organized in Jhapa on Monday, he said that people who have won in Kathmandu have not dared to stand again from there because no one in their own district can trust them.

He said, "We need to know why some people are not contesting elections from their own district. No one in their own district can trust them. They can lie there. Why do people who have won in Kathmandu not dare to contest again from there? Why did they have to come here? My friends have understood this."

Similarly, he said that where there should be talk of social harmony based on social justice and equality and where there should be talk of national unity based on social harmony, now we are hearing people talking about Madhesi and Pahadi.

He said, "Another thing, I am hearing people talking about Madhesi and Pahadi from somewhere. We should not talk like that. We should talk about social justice and equality. On that basis, we should talk about social harmony, on the basis of social harmony, we should talk about national unity. We should all unite and build our own place, village, district.’

He also said that a country is not built by caste, but by ideas, perspectives, policies, plans, determination and efforts.

He said, ‘A country is not built by which caste candidate there is. A country is built not by caste, but by ideas, perspectives, policies, plans, determination and efforts. Therefore, we should not talk about caste.’
