JSP Unveils Election Manifesto Promising High-Tech Development, Job Creation, and Social Reforms

Feb 14, Kathmandu - The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has released its manifesto for the House of Representatives elections on Friday.

JSP Nepal, which has fielded 94 candidates across the country in a direct election system, had previously released its commitment letter. Yesterday, it issued its manifesto. The manifesto does not mention anything new about the party. It has repeated old issues and commitments.

JSP Nepal has made promises ranging from amending the constitution to creating jobs for 5 million. The party has stated that it will provide free health and education to all citizens. It has also promised free tickets and free visas to those going for foreign employment.

These are the 15 assurances mentioned in the JSP Nepal manifesto

  1. A high-level Constitution Review Commission consisting of constitutional experts will be formed.
  2. Free health services will be provided to all citizens.
  3. A modern technology-based study and research center based on artificial intelligence (AI) will be established in each province.
  4. Free legal aid will be provided to all citizens.
  5. Nepal will be transformed into a cashless country.
  6. The assets of elected people's representatives, ministers including the Prime Minister, high-ranking employees, high-ranking officials of security agencies and officials of constitutional commissions since 2047 BS will be investigated.
  7. A policy of providing free (free visa and free ticket) employment for workers going for foreign employment will be implemented.
  8. The impractical land bill will be repealed and a new scientific land use law will be formulated.
  9. A scientific Chaklabandi program will be implemented.
  10. Five million jobs will be created within the next 5 years through the promotion of vertical farming.
  11. The population below the poverty line will be brought to 10 percent within the next 5 years.
  12. The literacy rate will be increased to 90 percent within the next 5 years.
  13. The Postal Highway project will be completed within the next 5 years.
  14. The Kathmandu-Nijgadh Expressway will be put into operation within the next 2 years.
