Feb 17, Kathmandu - Generous support from German donors has enabled the inauguration of a new three-room concrete school building at Bhimsen Primary School in Roshi Village Municipality-3, Sajakot. The joint opening ceremony was attended by Village Municipality Chairman Dinesh Lama and Michael Husain, head of the Himalayan Project in Germany.
The construction of the school building was made possible through a donation of approximately NPR 3.17 million from nearly 700 students of Ochsenhausen Gymnasium High School in Germany. Himalayan Village Conservation Nepal coordinated the project, which was built on land donated by local residents Tanka Bahadur Raut and Damai Singh Tamang, as confirmed by school Principal Manika Raut.
During the event, local leaders including Vice Chairman Mimbahadur Lama, Ward No. 5 Chairperson Nir Dhwaj Lama, Ward No. 3 Chairperson Dhanjit Lama, and community social worker Tulku Lama expressed their best wishes for enhancing educational quality and creating a better learning environment for students. The project also donated a laptop computer to the school.
Village Chairman Lama expressed happiness that the new building provides a safe, organized, and technologically friendly space for students. He reaffirmed the village’s commitment to prioritizing education development and pledged continued support. Land donors Raut and Tamang were recognized and honored during the occasion.
