Feb 17, Kathmandu - Jhapa–5 witnesses a new political force as the Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Chairman Harka Sampang, showcased its strength for the first time through a rally. The event took place in Damak’s Pasuhat on Tuesday (Fagun 5), drawing attention amidst the ongoing rivalry between CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Balen Shah of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
The rally was attended by party leaders, including Chairman Sampang, and all the candidates from various constituencies of Jhapa. The Shram Sanskriti Party, which has recently gained popularity through labor camps in Dharan, Damak, Birtamod, and Urlabari, has now fielded candidates in all five electoral constituencies of Jhapa.
In Jhapa–5, the party's candidate, Sameer Tamang, is competing against other contenders, marking the party’s significant entry into the electoral arena in the region. The event signals a new political development in Jhapa's election landscape.
