Feb 22, Kathmandu - In the Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2, CPN (UML) candidate Mahesh Basnet has announced plans to transform Madhyapur Thimi into a global tourist destination. During his door-to-door campaign in Madhyapur Thimi, Basnet pledged to accelerate development projects that have been stalled for the past three years.

He stated, “We will complete the construction of a live museum showcasing locally made pottery, woodcraft, and metalwork, enabling these traditional crafts to be displayed and sold to tourists.” Basnet further added, “We aim to make the art, culture, and heritage of Madhyapur Thimi a major attraction for international visitors.”
