Feb 22, Kathmandu - The Election Commission has advised the government to declare a three-day public holiday in preparation for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21. The proposed holidays would be on Falgun 20, 21, and 22. The Cabinet will review and decide on the commission’s recommendation.6
According to the commission’s suggestion, the holiday period could commence from Fagu Purnima, which falls on February 18 in the hills and February 19 in the Terai region. Additionally, the holidays will include International Women's Day on February 23 and 24.
