US Military Strikes Drug-Smuggling Vessels in Caribbean, Killing Three

Feb 24, Kathmandu - The United States military announced that it conducted an attack targeting vessels involved in drug trafficking in the Caribbean region, resulting in three fatalities.

In a statement released on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the US Southern Command identified the attacked vessel as being linked to terrorist organizations.

The vessel was reportedly involved in transporting narcotics along major drug-smuggling routes in the Caribbean. The statement emphasized that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks.

Since September 2015, the United States has targeted suspicious ships and boats suspected of engaging in smuggling activities. These operations have reportedly resulted in the deaths of dozens of individuals.

The recent military action aligns with the new national defense strategy announced by President Donald Trump’s administration, which includes military measures against suspected drug traffickers.
