Nepali Congress Donates NPR 500,000 for Captain Samba’s Knee Surgery

Feb 24, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress has extended a generous support of NPR 500,000 for the treatment of Nepali women's national football team captain, Sabrata Bhandari ‘Samba’.

Acting General Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal issued a press release today, stating that Samba is currently preparing for a complex surgical procedure due to a serious knee injury. The party has provided financial assistance to aid her recovery.

In a telephonic conversation with Paknaj Vikram Nembang, President of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Vice President of the Congress, Bishwaprakash Sharma, pledged to support Samba’s medical expenses. The funds have been deposited into ANFA’s account at Global IME Bank Limited (Account No. 34401010001137), as part of the party’s commitment.

Party President Gagan Thapa also extended his best wishes for her swift recovery, expressing hopes for her quick health restoration.
