Feb 24, Kathmandu - Two people have died in road accidents in Rupandehi and Rolpa.

A tractor with the registration number Lu.1 Ta 8529 met with an accident at Majuwa Dumping in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-11, Rupandehi on Tuesday morning.

A 20-year-old resident of Bhume Rural Municipality-5, Rukum East, who was working as a cleaner, died on the spot in the accident.

Police are searching for the absconding tractor driver after the accident.

Similarly, a Bolero with the registration number Lu.1 Ja 4854 coming from Ghorahi towards Holeri on the road at Khumbas, on the border of Runtigadi Rural Municipality-5, Rolpa and Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-19, Dang, met with an accident on Tuesday morning.

Bishnu Maya Budha Magar, a 24-year-old resident of Parivartan Rural Municipality-6, who was riding in the Bolero, died on the spot.

Police have also said that 10 people, including the Bolero driver, who were injured in the accident, have been sent to Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Ghorahi, Dang for treatment.

Police have stated that necessary investigations are underway into the accident.
