Feb 24, Kathmandu - Secretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Laxmi Kumari Basnet, has said that entering the digital age is the need of the hour. She said this while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the digital publication of Gorkhapatra Sansthan (Gorkhapatra Online and The Rising Nepal Daily.com).
“It is necessary for an institution like Gorkhapatra, which has a history of 125 years, to enter the digital age and celebrate ‘Digital Day’,” Secretary Basnet said while addressing the program. “Entering the digital age is timely and the need of the hour.”
She emphasized that we should now move forward by looking at the global environment and Gorkhapatra should move forward according to new technology. She emphasized that the use of social media should be made effective to make citizens aware of the confusion according to the times.
