Emerging Electric Scooter Brand 'Ampere' Enters Nepali Market, Promising Modern, High-Performance Rides

Feb 25, Kathmandu - The popular Indian electric two-wheeler brand 'Ampere' has officially launched in the Nepali market, expanding its footprint with high-performance, modern electric scooters. STC Auto Solution Pvt. Ltd., under the STC Group, announced that it has commenced sales of Ampere-branded scooters produced by Greaves Electric Mobility, a renowned Indian electric vehicle manufacturer.

Initially, the company has introduced two models of electric scooters into Nepal, both equipped with advanced technology and high efficiency. Greaves Electric Mobility has been manufacturing electric two-wheelers for over a decade in India, earning a reputation as a leading brand in the country.

According to STC Auto Solution, the scooters brought to Nepal feature durable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with a lifespan of nearly 2,000 charge cycles. The batteries come with a five-year or 75,000-kilometre warranty. Designed to withstand extreme cold and hot temperatures during testing, these batteries are deemed highly suitable for Nepal’s diverse climate.

The 'Magnus Neo' model boasts a 2.3 kW battery capacity and a powerful motor, capable of covering approximately 100 kilometres on a single full charge. It offers a comfortable seating experience, a load capacity of up to 150 kg, and ample ground clearance. The price for this model is set at around NPR 300,000.

Meanwhile, the 'Nexus' model features a high-capacity motor, five riding modes, reverse functionality, LED lighting, USB charging port, and connectivity options. The Nexus is priced at approximately NPR 335,000.

With the increasing demand for electric vehicles in Nepal, the entry of Ampere is expected to boost competition and provide consumers with more options. The company has also invited interested customers to contact via official email for further information.
