Feb 26, Kathmandu - In a heartwarming display of solidarity, police personnel working at the Nepal Police Road Safety and Traffic Management Office in Surkhet have extended financial assistance to Nepali women's national football team captain, Sabitra Bhandari (Samba), for her medical treatment.

A total of 117 voluntary police employees, including Traffic Police Chief Superintendent Mukunda Prasad Rijal, collectively contributed NPR 50,000 to support Captain Samba's health needs.

Police Chief Rijal expressed that the contribution was made with the aim of offering even a small help in the medical care of a player who has tirelessly fought on the field to elevate the nation's pride.

The funds, collected voluntarily from police staff, have been deposited into Captain Samba's personal account.

Rijal emphasized the importance of human compassion and cooperation during times of personal crisis, stating that social harmony and collective effort foster positive impacts within society.
