Five People have Die in Separate Road Accidents

Feb 27, Kathmandu - Five people have died in separate road accidents in different districts of the country.

The driver, Rakesh Yadav, 28, of Bara Parwanipur Rural Municipality-3, died when his motorcycle (number M.P.03-038 Pa 9478) lost control and crashed at Mahabir Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-15, Parsa on Thursday night. He was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at Narayani Hospital, police said. Another rider on the motorcycle is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Birgunj.

Similarly, Ram Bahadur Gharti Magar, 50, of Gurauli in the same rural municipality-6, died when his motorcycle (number Lu.95 Pa 7842) lost control and crashed on the road at Semri in Suddhodhan Rural Municipality-6 of Rupandehi. He was seriously injured and died during treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.

A man, aged around 50, died after being hit by an unregistered vehicle on the road at Pampha Pul in Rapti Municipality-7, Chitwan on Friday morning. Police have said that he died during treatment at the government hospital in Bharatpur after being seriously injured in the collision. The vehicle and driver that caused the collision are absconding and a search is underway.

Jas Bahadur Rai, 79, a pedestrian, died on Thursday evening after being hit by a motorcycle (No. Ko.35 Pa 9759) on the road at Lohondra Pul, Belbari Municipality-2, Morang. He died during treatment at Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar after being seriously injured. Police have taken the motorcycle driver into custody.

Similarly, Bir Bahadur Darai, 48, a pedestrian, died last night after being hit by a motorcycle (No. Ga.16 Pa 6979) on the road at Baireni, Byas Municipality-10, Tanahun. He died during treatment at Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara after being seriously injured. Police have also taken the motorcycle driver involved in the incident into custody.

The police are conducting necessary investigations into the accident, according to the Central News Room of the Police Headquarters.
