The company reports that numerous businesses unknowingly purchased Google Workspace memberships through unofficial vendors outside of Google’s authorized reseller network. This has led to sudden service interruptions, restricted access to emails and shared drives, and significant operational disruptions. In some cases, organizations were unaware of the issues until enforcement actions were initiated.

Google’s official listed price for Workspace in Nepal is USD 7 per user per month. Subscriptions offered at rates lower than this are considered serious red flags, indicating potential violations of Google's licensing and distribution policies. Certain educational institutions are also found to be using discounted plans meant exclusively for educational purposes, which may breach licensing terms.

Many businesses had no malicious intent but still face severe consequences if policy violations are detected. Violating Google Cloud’s terms can result in account suspension and potential data loss, jeopardizing business continuity once enforcement is enacted.
