House of Representatives Election: 149 Prisoners Cast Votes in Makwanpur's Bhimphedi Prison

Mar 05, Kathmandu - On Thursday, Falgun 21, during the ongoing voting process for the House of Representatives election, a total of 149 inmates from Bhimphedi Prison in Makwanpur participated in the voting.

According to reports, the temporary polling station set up within the regional prison at Bhimphedi saw 149 voters casting their ballots by 1:30 PM. Out of 162 registered voters, 149 votes were cast.

It is also noted that prisoners are only permitted to vote for proportional representation.
