Mar 06, Kathmandu - Lamjung's single federal electoral zone sees Nepali Congress leading in early results
Lamjung's main electoral office reports Nepali Congress candidate Gamprasad Gurung as leading in the ongoing vote count, with a margin of 177 votes.
According to Chief Electoral Officer Shishir Raj Dhakal, the current standings are as follows:
- Nepali Congress: Gam Prasad Gurung – 177 votes
- CPN (UML): Prithvi Subba Gurung – 118 votes
- Rastriya Swatantra Party: Dhramaraj K.C. – 110 votes
- CPN (Maoist Centre): Hari Jung Tamang – 34 votes
- Shram Sanskriti Party: Koshala Lal Gurung – 13 votes
The vote counting involves 495 ballots from two polling centers in Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality-4. Out of 137,124 eligible voters in the district, 75,085 cast their ballots, across 130 polling stations and 192 polling centers.
In the 2017 elections, Prithvi Subba Gurung of UML had secured victory from this area.
