Govinda Panthi Declared Winner in Gulmi-2

Mar 07, Kathmandu - Govinda Panthi of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has emerged victorious in the election from Gulmi-2. He secured a total of 16,961 votes to claim the win.

According to District Election Officer Rishiram Ghimire, his closest rival, Gokarna Raj Bista of the CPN-UML, received 16,406 votes. Panthi won with a margin of 561 votes.

Additionally, Buwan Prasad Shrestha of the Nepali Congress received 14,434 votes, while Shriram Mahat of the Communist Party of Nepal garnered 3,081 votes. Since 2006, except for the years 2006-2004, UML candidate Gokarn Bista had been winning in this area.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has registered a victory in the House of Representatives from Gulmi-2.
